Postcards for GIFT SHOP, GIFT SHOP (2012)

A set of 25 postcards reference shopAGO’s original set of 25 from 2010. While the first set reference Frank Gehry’s transformation of the Art Gallery of Ontario and highlights architectural details of the new building and galleries, this new set of 25 focuses on the Gift Shop itself and items found there within. Each original postcard provided inspiration for the images created by artist Cindy Blažević for this new set.
The postcards were printed for the GIFT SHOP, GIFT SHOP project, conceived by artists Sean Martindale and Pascal Paquette as a part of their 2012 NOW exhibition in the AGO’s TORONTO NOW series in the Young Gallery.
